Loutit Mediation
Loutit Mediation assists clients with resolving disputes out of court and reaching mutually agreeable settlements through the mediation process. Mediation allows the parties to control the outcome of a dispute, rather than a judge or jury.
As a former Commissioner and Chief Deputy Commissioner of the North Carolina Industrial Commission, Mediator Christopher Loutit holds experience presiding over and deciding hundreds of contested workers' compensation claims and negligence actions brought against the state of North Carolina. With practical experience as a plaintiff's attorney and former insurance defense attorney, he brings institutional knowledge and a unique perspective from all sides to assist parties in mediated settlement conferences.
Christopher also holds professional experience in corporate finance as a former analyst on Wall Street in the investment banking division of UBS. He can assist clients in business, fiduciary, financial advisor, merger and acquisition, private equity, venture capital, trust, and securities disputes.
Christopher is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a Superior Court Mediator.
